France Mission
One of France's most dynamic Protestant church-planting organisations, with a vision to see evangelical churches grow through multiplication. Today, France Mission has 60 churches in nine regions of France.
France Mission is an evangelical movement with 50 years of experience sharing the message of the Bible in France, and tracing its roots back to the earliest days of French Protestantism.
France Mission has demonstrated that healthy, faith-sharing churches can plant daughter-churches within a few years.
Since the 1970s, when there were around 1,100 evangelical congregations, church growth in France has been spectacular, with over 1,200 new churches being added in the last 30 years. A new evangelical church is now planted somewhere in France every nine days! France Mission's churches tend to be small (under 100 people), non-authoritarian in structure, informal in style, and distinctly non-ecclesiastical in their premises, with converted shops, banks, garages and factories pressed into service.
British Christians can help French churches in many ways. How about a church twinning link? Moving to France for retirement or employment, and playing your part as a local church member? A two-week summer outreach team? Or training as a career missionary?
