Interserve Scotland
Interserve is a network of Christians from all over the world who, using their professional skills, work together to serve the people of Asia and the Arab world - getting alongside them in tackling material, physical, mental and spiritual needs. Our vision is lives and communities transformed through encounter with Jesus Christ.
To this end Interservers are involved in a huge variety of work in the Arab World and Asia. Interservers range from accountants to zoologists, musicians to pilots, and waste managers to optometrists. Whatever your profession, skills and qualifications they can be used by God in His cross-cultural mission.
Overseas: there are many opportunities, for people committed to building God’s kingdom to work overseas with Interserve. If you are interested in short or long-term opportunities visit our website and then contact us. On Track, our short-term programme (up to one year), is open to all ages (18 and over), and is an opportunity to work alongside Interserve Partners, making a real contribution to ongoing, long-term work. Some placements require particular skills, while others are suitable for people without professional or other qualifications. Each placement is worked out individually with the applicant. There are also opportunities to serve in teams (usually 3 weeks). See the website for details.
Those wanting to make a longer term commitment to working overseas can become Interserve Partners. Again, each placement is worked out individually with the applicant to enable each person to follow God’s calling.
