International; interdenominational; committed to evangelism. As a Christian faith mission, we have proved God’s faithfulness over 135 years. We are looking for called, creative, committed co-workers to glorify God through the urgent evangelisation of Asias billions.
Our Vision. OMF`s mission is to glorify God by the urgent evangelisation of East Asia`s millions.
We reach the unreached in strategic and among strategic people groups where there are no Christians. We start churches where none existed before. We pioneer in huge cities, towns, villages and in remote areas. We tell people about Jesus. We write, translate and publish literature that will communicate the good news. We care for the uncared-for: sick people; alcoholics; exploited, abused, poor, prosperous but lonely people; young and old; religious and non-religious. Most of them do not know Jesus. We want to bring them healing and wholeness in him. We work with local Christians in places where churches already exist, to share the good news of Jesus Christ our Lord. We preach, teach, encourage, train workers. We respect national Christians highly and aim for more effective teamwork in local and world evangelisation. We are committed to take the good news of Jesus to people. We learn their language and their culture. We try to identify with them and be their friends. We take risks, face hardships and make mistakes; but we hold on to the faithfulness of God. We trust Him for guidance, for success, for money. We may fail, but He never will; as a mission we have proved this again and again since 1865. We are full of hope, because God has promised to build His church. We are an international team of men and women committed to sharing and showing the love of Jesus Christ to East Asian people in Asia, and in other countries too. We believe the Bible is God`s Word. We believe that sin is a universal problem. We pray and work in the power of the Holy Spirit to spread the only answer to this problem: Jesus Christ, crucified, risen and coming again.
